Learn To Sail

Regular coaching and learn to sail sessions are conducted for members and visitors on most Sunday mornings during the sailing season. This includes basic instruction for beginners and short course racing and instruction for the more experienced. The schedule can be viewed here.

We have a number of different boat types available to learn in from Minnows to Vagabond monohulls, Sailboards and Arrow Catamarans, so if you don’t have a boat it’s not a problem. Children and adults all welcome, it’s a great way for families to learn together.

Race Management instruction and mentoring will be conducted for members who are rostered for boat duty if required. This will include basic powerboat launching & retrieval, course setting and rescue procedures. Race starting and time keeping procedures will also be included.

Also there are many other courses on offer for club members First Aid, Radio License, Powerboat Handling (Speedboat Licences), Get into Small Boat Sailing, Assistant Instructor and Instructor courses, Rescue Boat Handling, Rules seminars, and many more.

We are always interested in providing new courses so if you need to learn something relative to club activities, let us know. For more coaching information contact our Head Coach, Charlie Hacker on 5485 2789 or 0427548527 or complete the online enquiry form below.
